Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my server?
Please allow 48 hours for pending orders to be filled. If you log into your account and the order still says "pending" then the server is being worked on and not ready yet. If your order shows completed please make sure to check the in-game filters in the server browser. "Hide empty" may be enabled by default. Make sure the “Community Server” filter is enabled. Once you find your server you can favorite the server in the UI and it will appear at the top of the list. When the server is brought online you will receive an email with the RCON credentials to your server. Please check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox. In the unlikely event more than 48 hours have elapsed and you have not received your server please email info@arctic-vr.com.
You can also use the search function here: http://pavlovservers.com/ to verify your server is online and what version of pavlov it is currently running.
If you still run into any issues after reading the above please email info@arctic-vr.com
I can’t connect to my server. It says “SERVER TIMEOUT” “FAILED TO CONNECT” "I KEEP GETTING KICKED" "MISSING MAP" or some other error
This is most likely due to an incompatible mod or custom map. Not all mods are compatible with all custom maps and not all mods are compatible with all other mods. Please follow the instructions below in order:
1) Run the “remove all mods” RCON command in the server configuration tab
2) Use the “switchmap” command in the server configuration tab to change the server to map “SAND” with gamemode “DM”
3) Restart your headset
4) Hardware reset your server here: https://pavlovrcon.com/restart_server
If you are still not able to connect to the server after doing 1-4 in order please email info@arctic-vr.com
How do I add a map/change the server name/add mod/other configuration change?
What is RCON and how do I use it?
RCON (Remote CONnection) is the method pavlov servers can be controlled from outside of VR. When a server is brought online, an email is sent to the owner with the RCON credentials to connect remotely.
RCON can be accessed at: PavlovRCON.com
How do I get the admin menu?
1) Join your server
2) log into RCON
3) Run the addmod command on yourself
4) open your pause menu and the admin menu is above vote kick
Do I need a computer to use a Quest Pavlov server?
No, you do not need a PC to run a server. If you are on the quest version of pavlov you just run the addmod RCON command to give somebody the admin menu. There is no more file transfer stuff needed for quest. Read the FAQ section on RCON or the admin menu for more information.
I read the entire FAQ
Thank you very much. Use code "IREADTHEFAQ" for $1 off any server order.
I don’t want a subscription. Can I buy just one month of service?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you know that you will not want to renew your server for next month you can imediatly cancel the subscription after placing an order. You will still get the initial month you paid for, the server will just not renew. If a server subscription is canceled and you change your mind a new order will need to be placed to continue service.
[PCVR] What is Pavlov Legacy?
Pavlov Legacy is a frozen in time version of pavlov for PCVR that was the last update before switching to the modio platform. This version of pavlov can be used by players that want to play a steam workshop map that didn't make the switch to modio. To access this mode on your client go to steam->library->pavlov->right click->properties->betas->legacy.
If you would like your PCVR Arctic VR server switched to the legacy branch of pavlov you can do so at the time of purchase or email info@arctic-vr.com
I still need help. I have a question not in the FAQ.
You can email info@arctic-vr.com or try the #server-support channel in the Arctic VR discord. Please allow 24 hours for an email response.
