Bracket

The bracket is single elimination. Once a player looses they are out of the event.

The “HOME” player is the player listed above in the bracket. The “AWAY” player is the the one below in the bracket. Example home/away here.

match organization

Players are responsible for reaching out to the other player to schedule their weekly matchups. Matches can be scheduled and played any time from as soon as it is posted who you are playing until the match deadline. Weekly matchups MUST be scheduled by Friday 11:59PM EST and posted in the #showdown-scheduling chat of the Arctic VR Discord. Only one person needs to post per match.

!!!Failure to post the scheduled match in the discord channel by Friday 11:59PM EST

will result in both participants being disqualified!!!!!

Schedule

The bracket will be updated Monday morning and players have until Friday to schedule their game with who they are playing. Players are welcome to schedule and play their game as soon as possible, you do not need to wait until the weekend. The match must be played and results posted in the Arctic VR discord by Sunday 11:59pm est.

Other rules/information

  • The Barret M99 single shot 50 Cal Sniper is prohibited from use in this event. If a player gets a kill with that weapon they forfeit the map. There are no other weapon or item restrictions.

  • Any form of cheating or exploiting is not allowed

  • Microphone does not need to be enabled in game

  • Players have a 15 min buffer to show up to the scheduled play time or a forfeit will occur

  • If one player wins two maps in a row, a third does not need to be played

  • Recording or streaming is not required but strongly encouraged. (Particularly helpful to defend yourself in the event of a dispute). A guide on how to record pavlov quest gameplay can be found here: https://youtu.be/LFkMMAYYyLk.

  • In the event of scheduling difficulties please notify MessiahPenguin on discord BEFORE the Friday night deadline. In the event of no mutual availability for an entire week between two people, the player with the better availability wins the forfeit.

  • In the event a player runs a RCON command effecting a match that they are not a part of the player that sent the offending command will be banned and the dissrupted match will restart from the begining of the map.

  • In the event of server crash the interupted map will be replayed from the begining.

  • Matches must be played on the Arctic VR community servers set up for this event. Details on how to join and manage the server can be found in the Arctic VR Discord. There are many servers available per region. In the event that many matches are all trying to be scheduled at the same time in the same region, priority is given to whoever posts in #showdown-scheduling first.

  • All matched must be played on the normal “live” version of pavlov. NOT RC.

  • Arctic VR reserves the right to update the rules and regulations for this event and they are free to take any action even if not stated in the above rules and regulations

  • After the match is played the results must be posted in the #showdown-results channel of the Arctic VR discord

- The match deadlines have been slightly adjusted to give players more flexibility as we approach holidays.
